British Citizenship for UK-born Children

Common questions

Is my UK-born child already British?

If a parent was British or settled when the child was born, the child is usually British automatically and can apply directly for a British passport. If not, registration is needed.

Is the Home Office fee included?

No. The registration fee is paid separately to the Home Office.
