Indian Birth Registration

Children born abroad to Indian citizens should have their birth registered with the Indian mission. We prepare the application and supporting documents so it is right the first time.

  • £50 for babies under 1 year
  • £75 for children over 1 year (late registration)
  • Often combined with first passport

FAQ

Common questions

Why does the price change after one year?

Registering after the first birthday is treated as a late registration and needs additional declarations, so our fee is £75 instead of £50.

Is birth registration mandatory?

It is strongly recommended for children of Indian citizens born abroad and is commonly required alongside the first Indian passport application.

Important notes

  • Our fee covers application preparation and support. Official government, VFS, Home Office or other authority fees are paid separately.
  • Processing times are set by the relevant authority and may change without notice.
  • Shajees Consultancy is a private assistance service and is not affiliated with any government body or VFS Global. All decisions rest with the authorities.
