Newborn Dependent Visa

A baby born in the UK to parents on a visa does not automatically become British. We prepare the child's dependant application and book the appointment, so your newborn's status is in order.

  • Appointment booking included
  • Linked to parents' current visa
  • Combine with Indian passport & birth registration

FAQ

Common questions

Does my baby need a passport first?

Yes, the child normally needs a passport before the visa application. We can prepare the newborn Indian passport application first.

Is my UK-born baby British?

Only if at least one parent is British or settled (e.g. holds ILR) at the time of birth. Otherwise the child needs a visa, and may later be able to register as British — see our citizenship registration service.
